1. Data controller
Alessandro Argento (stage name Alex Argento). Contact for privacy requests: alex.argento@gmail.com
2. What data is processed
- Browsing data: when you visit the site, the hosting provider technically processes data such as your IP address, browser type and requested pages, needed to deliver the pages and protect the site from attacks.
- Contact form data: name, email address, type of request and message that you choose to send.
- Language preference: the chosen language (English or Italian) is saved only in your browser and is never sent to anyone.
3. Purposes and legal basis
- Replying to your requests sent through the form: processing is necessary to respond to you and, where applicable, to take steps prior to an agreement (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Running the site and keeping it secure: legitimate interest of the controller (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Providing your data through the form is optional, but without it your request cannot be answered.
4. Service providers
- Cloudflare, Inc.: hosting and security of the site.
- FormSubmit: forwards the contact form messages by email.
- Google (Gmail): email inbox where the messages are received.
- YouTube (Google): only if you start a video. Videos use the privacy-enhanced mode and are loaded only when you press play.
Some of these providers are based in, or use servers located, outside the European Union. In that case data is transferred under the safeguards provided by Articles 44–49 GDPR, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses. Data is not sold or used for advertising.
5. Retention
Messages received through the form are kept for as long as needed to handle the request and any resulting collaboration, then deleted. Browsing data is kept by the hosting provider only for the short time needed for technical and security purposes.
6. Cookies
This site does not use profiling or third-party cookies and does not track visitors. The only information stored in your browser is the language preference, which is a technical setting. If you start a YouTube video, YouTube may use similar technologies under its own privacy policy. To protect the site from automated attacks, Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies, which do not require consent and are not used to track you.
7. Your rights
You can ask at any time to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format, by writing to alex.argento@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
